Sustainability is Ingrained in Our Philosophy
Our commitment to sustainability is deeply ingrained in the very philosophy of our company. It reflects in our day-to-day functioning, where 60% of our energy needs are met by our solar power plant. The materials we use are primarily plant-based, animal-based, or recycled — ensuring that each rug becomes an enriching component of the soil once it completes its life cycle.
"Our Principle: Reducing Carbon Footprint, One Step at a Time."
Crafting Happiness: Our Artisans
At the heart of our process lies a people-centric approach. Our artisans are at the heart of everything we do. Many have been with us for decades. They are driven by the joy of creation and a sustainable livelihood. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive workplace. We believe that people give their best when they feel safe, are supported, and respected. The positivity of the work environment gets reflected in the rugs that are made.
One should feel proud to own a handmade rug. Feel good in knowing that, by buying one handmade rug, you’ve contributed to the livelihood of 15–20 people.
Nature in Every Thread
We believe that true luxury begins with natural harmony. Most of our products are made using natural, biodegradable fibres like wool, jute, and cotton, sourced responsibly to ensure that the processes do not affect the flora and fauna of the region. When these materials reach the end of their life-span, then having completing the circulatory cycle, either they get recycled or return to the earth, enriching the topsoil and keeping the ecosystem thriving.
By using yarns in their natural colour families, we create mélanges that are uniquely textured and visually rich. This approach reduces water, dyeing, and energy consumption, keeping our processes environmentally friendly.

Our philosophy revolves around appreciating the natural beauty of yarns in their own hues.
Minimal Impact, Maximum Creativity
We have created a unique cohesion of technique and design to produce digitally printed handwoven rugs that bring stunning designs to life in vivid colours. This process ensures minimal chemical and water usage and reduces environmental impact.
We seamlessly blend artisanal weaving with contemporary design innovation, creating rugs that celebrate patterns and colour while retaining the soulful charm of handloom craftsmanship.
The Power of Recycled Yarn: Mixed Fibre Transforming Waste into Rugs
Panipat is known as the “Cast-off Capital” of the world, making it the largest textile recycling hub globally. It processes around 100,000 tonnes of post-consumer and post-industrial textile waste annually, recycling it to produce a mixed fibre recycled yarn. These GRS-certified recycled yarns come in various colours and are used to create our ecofriendly rugs.
By using these recycled yarns, we contribute to the city’s circular economy. This approach not only keeps waste out of landfills but also transforms discarded textiles into beautiful, functional, and eco-conscious rugs, giving pre-used materials a meaningful second life.
Recycle & Upcycle : Transforming Plastic into Fibres
Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our times, with over 300 million tonnes of plastic waste generated globally each year, much of which ends up in landfills or oceans. At Heritage Overseas, we take a proactive approach by using recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) yarns made from post-consumer plastic bottles into durable, eco-friendly rugs.
This ensures that plastic bottles don’t end up choking marine life or polluting the soil. Instead, the yarn derived from them is transformed into beautiful rugs that adorn homes with quiet elegance.
